Welcome, new workers

Kris Harder and Chris Janzen are new members of the ChristianWeek team. Staff turnover can be a big deal in a small office, but these two are making it a joy.

Kris started in her new role as publisher's assistant in mid-April. Her previous experience included several years as office manager for Good News Broadcasting - Back to the Bible. During that time she ran the main office in Winnipeg while reporting to a CEO and financial officer who mostly stayed in Ontario. Her references lauded her administrative efficiency and communications skills. Six weeks later, we're pleased to see they were right.

Chris arrived in late May, replacing Jeff Lowell in the graphic design department. A recent graduate of the University of Manitoba, his first and most immediate set of responsibilities is to manage all aspects of the layout and design of the regular editions of ChristianWeek. He's learning fast. In fact, the paper you hold in your hand represents his first complete production. Before long we will be looking to Chris to provide further strategic and technical services as a digital media assistant.

So how will we cope with the problem of having both a Kris and a Chris in the same office? Let's just say, that's our cross to bear.
