A Canadian seminary student and children's pastor is returning to ministry after winning a major U.S. reality TV show.

Maryanne Oketch was in the middle of a theological studies program at Tyndale Seminary when she was accepted to the 42nd season of the show Survivor. She went on to win the show, and then graduated from Tyndale with her Master's degree. In this piece for Faith Today, Oketch talks about how faith impacted her Survivor experience, and going from the TV show into children's ministry at her church in Ontario.
