Ransom paid for all missionaries kidnapped in Haiti but gang was divided on release

The father of several missionaries kidnapped in Haiti last year says that ransom had already been paid to the 400 Mawozo gang before the group's nighttime escape.

In an interview earlier this week, Ray Noecker said the gang - who was demanding one million dollars per person to release his wife, children and 11 other missionaries - had reached an agreement and been paid a ransom to cover the whole group. He said division within the gang kept them from releasing the missionaries, leading to their escape on December 15.
