The case against a Christian politician in Finland for expressing her views on homosexuality will be reopened and could proceed as early as this fall.
Päivi Räsänen won her case when a Finnish court found she acted within the law in expressing her views; however, the Helsinki Court of Appeals has now accepted a prosecutor's complaint and agreed to reopen the case. The controversial saga began with a post on Twitter in 2019, which led to investigations of previous statements by the politician going back more than a decade.
