Cissy padding the halls of the hospital looking for her owner.

Dog walks 20 blocks to reunite with owner in hospital

Nancy Franck had been in the hospital for two weeks for treatment for ovarian cancer, and her dog it seems felt it was time for a visit.

Now that’s a loyal friend! Cissy the miniature schnauzer went on a hunt for her owner, and found her in the hospital nearly 20 blocks away.

Nancy Franck had been in the hospital for two weeks for treatment for ovarian cancer, and her dog it seems felt it was time for a visit.

Security footage reveals the dog showed up at the hospital, after leaving Franck’s Cedar Rapids home last week. No one quite knows how Cissy knew where to go or how she followed her owner’s trail. Yet security found her wandering the same halls that her owner was recuperating.

KCRG reports the security guards used the dog’s tags to call Nancy’s husband, Dale Franck, who says Cissy had been acting strange and anxious. He says Cissy had been missing four hours when the hospital called.

No wonder they call ‘em man’s (and woman’s) best friend!
