At Vatican, Pope Francis and Biden set time record for meeting

In a 90-minute meeting on Friday, Biden says Pope Francis called him "a good Catholic" and told him he should continue receiving communion.

The meeting was the longest ever between a pope and a U.S. president, and also one of the most secretive. The Vatican has not confirmed details of what the two leaders talked about, but the issue of Biden taking communion was expected to come up after some conservative Catholic leaders suggested he not be allowed to participate due to his stance on abortion.
