Minister Jean Chretien's place in the history books with a third straight
majority government.
Should the governing Liberals flounder, however, it could instead result
in the long-awaited breakthrough for the Western-based Canadian Alliance.
Election 2000 could even be remembered as the swan song for the Progressive
Conservatives or the New Democrats.
For Canadian Christians worried about abortion, the erosion of the family
and the place of faith in Canadian political life, the November 27 vote
